Hand Dryers for Schools

Pinnacle Dryer makes two stainless-steel, vandal-resistant hand dryers for schools: the P3-12S surface-mount (4" deep) and the PDC-R10 recessed (projects 7/8"). Both are ADA compliant, UL 499 listed (#E212260), carry a 10-year parts warranty, and are repaired on the wall. Districts can buy through TIPS contract 250503 or request a quote.

Built for the restrooms facilities teams actually manage

School restrooms are hard on equipment. Dryers get hit, pried at and jammed, and the custodial team that has to fix them is often short-staffed. Pinnacle has built hand dryers for schools and public facilities for over 30 years in Statesville, North Carolina, and the two models are designed around those problems:

  • Stainless steel covers and drying chambers, secured with security screws.

  • No buttons or exposed mechanical parts. An infrared sensor in the drying chamber starts the dryer, and it runs only while hands are in it.

  • Repairable on the wall. Each model has a minimum number of wear parts (five), and the cut sheets describe them as fixable in minutes without removing the dryer.

  • Parts ship fast. Replacement parts ship within 24 hours, so a broken unit doesn't turn into paper towels taped to the wall.

ADA and mounting heights by grade level

Both models meet the ADA 4-inch protruding-object limit. Pinnacle's installation manuals give recommended heights from the floor to the electronic eye: 32" for ages 4–7, 36" for ages 7–10, 40" for ages 10–13, 44" for ages 13–17, 44" in women's rooms and 46" in men's rooms (check local code). Why schools switch

Warranty

10 years on parts and 3 years on the circuit board, for the original purchaser. The warranty covers defective parts and excludes vandalism, normal wear and storm damage. Full warranty terms.

FAQ

Are Pinnacle hand dryers ADA compliant?

Yes. The P3-12S projects 4" and the PDC-R10 projects 7/8", both within the ADA 4-inch protruding-object limit when mounted per the cut sheet.

Can a school buy without going out to bid?

If your district is a TIPS member, you can buy through TIPS contract 250503, which was competitively procured. Check your own purchasing rules.

What if a student breaks one?
