About
At 87 years old, and after 26 years of manufacturing and selling Pinnacle Hand Dryers, Ed Smith decided to retire from the business. Kirk Jones, President, will carry on the tradition of making and selling the best USA-Made Hand Dryers!
An Industrial Engineer with a background in manufacturing, IT, customer service, and sales, Kirk Jones is a natural to take over the helm of Pinnacle Dryer.
As the new owner, Kirk's vision for Pinnacle is to continue to offer the same Built-to-Last dryers and great service our customers have depended on for years. He will continue to grow the company in areas of K-12 schools, colleges, convenience stores, parks & recreation, restaurants, and other markets wanting and needing cleaner restrooms.
Pinnacle Dryer Corp. was established in 1994 to service the hand dryer market with quality products and a promise to give quick and satisfying service to our customers.
Ed Smith started the company with a single line of surface-mounted hand dryers. He began marketing it to schools, convenience stores, restaurants, and DOT rest stops. Customers liked the dryer but schools kept asking for a more vandal-resistant hand dryer. In 1998, after consulting with engineers, Pinnacle introduced the ADA compliant, stainless steel PDC-R10 Recessed Hand Dryer. In 2006, Pinnacle added the ADA compliant, stainless steel P3-12S Surface Hand Dryer.
In 1998, Ed's daughter, Kim Gavrelis, joined the company as a sales representative for the Mid-Atlantic region. In 2010, she moved home to NC and began assisting with the day-to-day operations at Pinnacle Dryer, while continuing her sales role. In 2012, Kim was promoted to VP Sales & Operations.
